The story behind it:
By her jewelry collection “Knots” Samantha Lim, the Singapore-based jewelry designer, wants to breathe new life into an old Chinese tradition. Chinese knots have existed for thousands of years, developping from folklore crafts to a traditional art form with increasingly complex patterns.
Samantha Lim combines old, established knotting techniques with fashionable materials in oder to create artistically designed shapes. Hand-knotted oval links interlock to form a light and modern necklace. The colour play is also very particular: single-colored links in a white / black, yellow / red or red / blue combination, or two-tone links that create a mottled effect.
The comfort is up-to-date: lightweight, anti-allergenic and easy to care for.
