Deft craftsmanship and intricate patterning makes the Kani stoles a must have for any shawl-lover: extra float yarns are introduced to create interesting patterns on the surface of the fabric, a weaving process which lasts for months
Material: 100% fine wool.
Dimensions: 72×200 cm, open fringes (not reversible).
Best care: Dry clean only.
The story behind it:
Kani scarves are of the finest workmanship using an age old traditional web looping technique. The multi- coloured pattern is woven in with the weft yarn crossed at each change in direction with the yarn of the background. The Kani technique is still very much in existence today in the Kanihana village in Kashmir.
